The idea of the project is great, most of my pupils improved their communication in English for some of them it was the first opportunity to use spoken English with a foreigner.

V naší škole hodnotíme hlavní cíle projektu jedoznačně kladně např. i v tom,že mnozí žáci si konečně uvědomili a v praxi si ověřili,jak důležitá je znalost a praktické používání AJ v jejich budoucím studiu,povolání a konečně i v běžných životních situacích...

The amount of the spoken language in the class has rapidly increased. I really appreciated cooperation between the students, willingness to help each other.

I like their enthusiasm and patience because sometimes it is hard to keep some pupils´ attention.

I have to say that my experience with Czech pupils as well as the cooperation with the teachers was amazing as well as enriching! I like how they openly express their views without being offensive but factual. And I want to imitate that. I am also grateful that I had the privilege to be part of this project because it enhanced my teaching skill along with patience.
As a tutor, how have you benefited from the project? Please be specific.
I have learned to love teaching more. I saw how much of an art it is to cultivate in the students the interest in learning and how to keep their interest alive. I also saw how instrumental, a simple commendation or a smiling face can be. Encouragement is crucial in learning.
How would you assess the cooperation with tutors from the Philippines?
I liked it a lot. It gave the pupils the chance to talk with the foreigners who don´t speak Czech and listen to nice English. They had to rely on themselves and their knowledge.
Please name some of the activities you liked and the activities you didn’t like much (if there is any).
I like the activities that involved pictures and actions. For example, there was an activity that they had to look on a set of pictures and choose their preferred past time activity and talk about it. They also enjoyed the activities where they had to sing and act.

With regards to sentence construction and grammar, in the latter part of the program, the pupils readily corrected themselves when they noticed an inconsistency with a word they used, e.g. plural and singular forms of nouns; pronouns and verbs. motivation to further study, for me, is seen in how they performed or accomplished their homework and in their participation in discussion. A detailed drawing, or a wordy research, or a spontaneous reply hints motivation.

Most of the students were able to familiarize with the English sentence structure. I noticed an improvement in pronunciation, vocabulary, and listening. For intermediate students, they further improved their fluency. Improvement can be enhanced by more effort on the part of the students and suitableness of the lesson plan.

Zaznamenal jsem u dětí radost z toho,že porozuměly cizinci a naopak a že se u nich postupně ztrácely obavy z komunikace,což byl na počátku projektu značný problém.
